What's up guys? I've been doing fairly well on my own now and just have one question. What css rule controls the gallery background? I have been trying to add an image behind only the large galleries and the only luck I've had was changing the page color. I've tried a lot of different things with style.css and carbon.css (carbons what I'm using) including z-index. If you could let me know what rules for an individual page and large gallery area can be adjusted for background images, you'll be the man. Just kidding, you are the man! Thanks in advance…
No, Thanks for the reply. The skins are no problem. You know how Flickapix has an image behind his gallery on the home page? I am trying to accomplish a similar effect. The only thing I've been able to do is change the color of the entire page. Which in turn, changes all the pages. I only would like to change the home page gallery background. I am currently using an accordian gallery due to limitations on 3D Gallery. While I have your attention, for some reason images in Firefox are displaying right aligned in my home page lightbox. Only Firefox does it.
Also, I added 3 Contact Menus, (Drop Panel, Footer, Contact Page) When I send an email it arrives from all three menus. Is it possible to have multiple contact forms and only receive mail from the form used. Get it? If someone sends me mail, I get it three times because I have three menus. I want to say that as I'm getting deeper into this theme, I admire your work more and more. Outstanding Work! Thanks in advance, Bobby C.
Did you add a different ID to each contact form?
If you want to change the background for one page you can look up the id for that page and assign CSS to that class only.
e.g. your home page has an ID of .page-id-7
So within your CSS if you want to change just the body tag for the home page you would use.
I did not add ID's to the Contact form and not sure how to add them to the forms or pages. Imagine I'll figure it out. I've taken the Grand Tour of this theme by now. At this point I am still a little confused as to how ID's are set and separating pages for different results. I make things more complicated than they actually are. It's new, so I get intimidated. As far as the 1/3 column, I had set it up to have 2 galleries and one with gallery/text, which is what I have. They display correctly in both IE, Chrome. How would you suggest I arrange the code.
After looking into the child theme deal with WordPress and hacking your theme to pieces, I realize I could have been a lot neater and efficient. Oh well, I learned a ton in the last couple weeks. I was obsessed with creating that black and white theme. It's alright! My queston now is, if I reinstall DynamiX to start over from scratch, will I lose anything as far as pages and content? What I mean is, will everything stay the same. Just default appearance. I know better what I am doing now and want to start from a clean theme. I've got a bunch of elements custom built now with transparencies for styledboxes and shadows, etc. It will be painless to rebuild. Besides the black and white is a little overkill, you think. Thanks for your any input and your time.
Man, your a busy dude.
I wanted to ask you also. Do you have a list of shortcodes beyond the ones in the post editor? It seems like there are more to know but I am unable to locate them. Maybe a list online or something. I have been going to the demo to get the shortcodes available, not quite sure of an easier or more thorough way. Can't find a list online of shortcodes that are applicable.
