Hope that you’re well. I know that the You Theme comes with millions of Google Fonts but wouldn’t you know it, my client wants to use ones that don’t come with the theme.
I was wondering what the best way to install them would be – I know that Dynamix has a setting in the Theme options where you can add extra google fonts but You Theme doesn’t. I’d prefer not use a plugin like “use any font as I’ve found that this can slow down the site – would it be better to add them directly to the header.php (& if so, how?) or should they be added as a custom CSS on each of the pages they’re required on?

The best option is to declare the new font via CSS using font-face: https://www.w3schools.com/cssref/css3_pr_font-face_rule.asp
Once created, you can then use the font manually to the site via CSS as well.
The easier way would be to use plugins.
