I unchecked “Enable creation of groups for all users” in the parameters of BP.
As a single subscriber, i see the button to create a group.
And of course if i click on it I get an error 404
If I set a default theme of WP, it works
Another integration problem with BuddyPress!
This does not have a 404 page on my site, it just comes up with the groups page saying that ‘Sorry, you are not allowed to create groups.’
I recommend checking that you are using the latest version of DynamiX and Buddypress as it works fine on my server.
If you are up to date, I recommend de-activating each of your plugins one-by-one to find one that may be conflicting.
I made the mistake of talking you redirection button, but this is not important.
By default there should be no display button, if no rights.
This is your theme that I have a problem. I have version 4.0.8 which did not mention the resolution of this problem
I tried other themes (WP eleven, twelwe, thirteen, fourteen …) everything works and I do not see this useless button (bad user experience)
My apologies for this, you can remove the piece of code that controls this by editing the following file:
Remove this line of code:
<?php _e( 'Groups Directory', 'buddypress' ) ?><?php if ( is_user_logged_in() ) : ?>
<div class="button-wrap" style="margin-left:20px;">
<div class="grey-lite button ">
"><?php _e( 'Create a Group', 'buddypress' ) ?>
</div><?php endif; ?>
