with the latest release of Buddypress v2.4.0
it introduces cover images for profiles and groups.
Somehow the cover images do not display correctly when set (even without being set, profiles now look different in the top section).
Do we need to change anything ourselves to make it work (as ther are some ‘filter’ settings in the BP release notes) or will this eventually just work with a theme update?
It looks nice in the samples, so it would be cool to see it work. Of course, this is NOT CRITICAL 🙂 .. just a “nice to have”
this is the extra article by Buddypress on the cover images:
Cool, thank you very much Andy!
We think it should be a marked improvement for Buddypress profiles and groups; I wonder if they always spring such changes on the communities, or give a heads-up?
After all, for the endusers (like us) it is not optional – when you install the new updates (no choice really, you have to for security reasons alone) the new features cannot be turned on or off, so you are stuck with it whether it works or not (right now the profiles just look a bit odd, but its not a huge problem).
Again, thanks for looking into it and checking it out!
