    The Buddypress signup error is not being highlighted: “Usernames can contain only letters, numbers, ., -, *, and @”

    What can I do to highligh this message?

    A few users contacted me in regards to not knowing why the sign up isn’t working. I realized, although the message is there, they don’t see it cuase it isn’t highlighted.

    Please advise.

    Werner.

    Hi Werner,

    Please add the following CSS to the Custom CSS field under Appearance > Theme Options > Customize > Custom CSS.

    .buddypress .error {
    color: #ff0000;}

    Hope this helps.

    Kind regards,
    Tom

    Hi Tom,

    I do not have a Custom.css field. I only have the following css fields:
    -(style.css)
    -Visual Editor Stylesheet
    -(editor-style.css)
    -RTL Stylesheet
    (rtl.css)
    style.dark.css
    wpsc-default.css

    Hi Tom,

    I found, custom-styles.css with CPanel, but that code didn’t work. Removed it again.

    I see there is a Dynamix_Remove file under /themes? I know you guys worked on my site (Thank you for that, much appreciated) – Not sure if I should put the changes in that file, or why it’s there?

    Hi Werner,

    Please do not modify any CSS files. There is a Custom CSS field built into the theme options which is used to add in custom CSS.

    Add the CSS to the Custom CSS field under Appearance > Theme Options > Customize > Custom CSS.

    Hope this helps.

    Kind regards,
    Tom
