    Hello,

    New user here with admittedly minimal WP experience. I would like to remove the Search and Cart icons from the information panel within my site’s sidebar, but cannot figure out how to do this:

    The information panel is completely empty when I go to the widget editor page and on the front end customization page. No idea where I need to make a change to remove these two icons. Any help is appreciated!

    Thanks,
    Jared

    Hi Jared,

    You can remove the Search icon via WP Admin > Appearance > Theme Options > Header > Display Search.

    For the information panel, goto Appearance > Widgets > Information Panel and remove can widgets within it, once this has no widgets in, it will remove the icon.

    The cart icon has to be removed manually with the following CSS:

    .cart-trigger.dock-tab {display:none;}

    Hi Andy,

    Appreciate the quick response! I was able to remove the Search icon.

    I added .cart-trigger.dock-tab {display:none;} to style.css but it still appears. Maybe I’m adding it to the wrong file or in the wrong location within the file? Apologies for the noob question 🙂

    Great theme by the way – I really like the UX!

    Scratch that – I ended up disabling the WooCommerce plugin for now and that took care of the shopping cart icon. Thanks!
