    Hi @acoda.

    the symbol to close the docked Menu is hardcoded in the file dock.config.php

    your code is:

    if( $dockicon_panels != ‘dockpanel_type_1’ )
    {
    $dock_icons .= “\n\t”. ‘<li class=”dock-menu-close dock-tab”>’;
    $dock_icons .= ‘<i class=”fa fa-lg”>X</i>‘;
    $dock_icons .= ‘‘;
    }

    Could you please instruct me how to change the “X” as a closing symbol? I also want to use an icon instead of the “X”… I tried to insert the icon-code in the <i class… like <i class=”fa fa-cube fa-lg”></i> but it didn’t work… Any ideas?

    Thank you!

    Hi @traubinger

    Can you please send over your site’s URL and login credentials? Also please send over the FTP login so we can try updating the icon to close the Dock Menu.

    Thanks!

    Hi @traubinger

    For some reason, the changing the icon indeed does not work even if the styles for the Font Awesome icons have already been declared in the theme.

    I have forwarded this to Andy and I will get back to you once I have more information on this.

    Regards,

    Hi @traubinger

    The icon has been replaced successfully by the developer. Can you please check and confirm from your end?

    The placement of the icon will remain on the right and if you want it repositioned to the left, CSS must be added.

    Thanks!

    I’m a bit confused…

    In Chrome
    – the icon to close is just a square no matter what fa-icon you set in the file
    – the close icon stays LEFT if the dock-bar is set to the left side!

    in Safari
    – NO close icon is displayed inside the trigger-element
    – the close icon stays RIGHT if the dock-bar is set to the left side!

    Hi @traubinger

    I have forwarded the issue with the icon to the developer again.

    For the placement, it really does not get affected on the dock placement. The best option is to use CSS.

    Copy and paste this CSS into Theme Options > Custom CSS

    #primary-wrapper .dock-panel-wrap li.dock-menu-close.dock-tab {
        left: 0.9rem;
        right: 90%;
    }

    Thanks!
