  • Is there a way to apply custom colors to shortcode buttons?

    Thank you for the nice theme and this support forum.

    Here is the site I am building with Dynamix: http://www.singmytroublesby.com

    Hi,

    You can modify them in the style.css, search for .green.button a, .green.button a:visited and that is the beginning of the colours. Change them accordingly.

    Hope that helps 🙂

    I played around there and couldn’t get it to work. At least I know I’m in the right section and that it is possible 🙂 Obviously, I need to learn a lot more about web programming in general.

    Really like your custom skin generator… quick and easy to use… the how to video was very helpful.

    Thanks again for your assistance.

    There is one button that should deserve a colorization. Unfortunately "Submit" button in contact form and comment submission button doesn't match the color scheme. Simply "You can have a button painted any colour that you want so long as it is black!". I believe it can be mapped to the custom color of link(s) inside the content like (ex.) social icons.

    You'll have to add something like the following.

    .blue.button a:hover { background-color:#D4397C; }

    Hi Adrian,

    The following works for me.

    Search for .blue.button

    and place the following below that line.

    .blue.button a:hover { background-color:#d4397c !important; }

    Hey Andy,

    I’m trying to get a custom color for buttons as well. However, the only way i can get them to work is if i change them in the DynamiX Theme’s Style.css

    When i try to use the Style.css in the child theme, the changes seem to have no effect. I’ve tried using !important to no effect.

    Is it not possible to save these settings in the child theme?

    Thanks!

    Hi Scott,

    You could try placing the CSS into Skin Settings -> Add Custom CSS?

    ^^ That worked perfectly, thanks! I take it that these custom css settings are not lost on upgrade?

    Hi Scott,

    that is correct!

    These css settings will not be lost even when updating DynamiX.
