Hi. With Epix, if I choose to have my “home page” be the “Most Recent Post” then the theme is clever enough to choose the feature image from my most recent post in the list as my background image on the list page. The same happens if I browse to all posts from a particular category. Using the feature of creating a Page of type “Blog” where I select which categories to include, the default background image on the lists page does not happen. Is there a way to enable this?
Hi. Yes, if you go to the following, you will see that as you move through the pagination links at the bottom, the background image changes to whatever the feature image is of the first post on that page: http://chameleonmuseenterprises.com/delaunfuller/ This is where I’ve selected the option in my General config for the home page to show “most recent posts”
The same occurs if you go to a specific category: http://chameleonmuseenterprises.com/delaunfuller/category/just-bloggin/
But, I created a new Page and selected the “Blog” template. I then clicked the “Blog” tab on the Page and selected the categories that I want to be included. In this example, the feature image of the first post on each page does NOT appear as the background: http://chameleonmuseenterprises.com/delaunfuller/blog/
Do you see what I mean?
OK. I’d love to see this on the list of possible enhancements for a future release. It certainly makes the blog page more interesting if the BG updates to match the latest post. That being said, I realize I can have my “blog” link really just be a link to a category common across all posts that I want to end up in my blog. And then I will get the desired functionality.
