    Hi,

    I just installed the demos You Classic. In first go the pages didn’t display properly so i re-installed the demos. That fixed the issues.

    Now the other thing i am seeing is that the theme speed is very slow, so i tested it through GTmetrix and found there is a stark difference between the scores of demo theme you showcase and the demo content theme we install for Home creative.

    Here is the link: beta.appsnstuff.com

    Why is that ?

    P.S. how do i send you screenshots here?

    I did tests to compare both and it looks like the issue is with your setup and hosting provider. To give you a better view, here’s the two results:

    https://tools.pingdom.com/#!/bmVzaO/http://beta.appsnstuff.com/home-creative/
    https://tools.pingdom.com/#!/drzAa1/http://you.acoda.com/responsive-wordpress-theme/home-creative/

    If you will check, both sites has almost identical page size but there’s a dramatic difference with the load time. If you will scroll a bit, you will see that Combine external CSS and Remove query strings from static resources has grade B on our site, while F on your end. Scrolling further to the ‘file requests’ section, you will see that the biggest factor that’s dragging the load time on your server is the ‘wait time’ for your server to respond. This issue is not happening on our end.

    Setting up a proper caching plugin should help on speeding up your site and you can try to coordinate with your hosting provider as well to ask for advice on how to optimise the site further.

    Thanks for your reply,

    I understand the server response, and that has noting to do with you theme, agreed. And i will never blame you for it.

    But what i am pointing at is the number of requests the theme is making on your site and in my demo setup. On your site its making just 68 requests and on my site it is making 104 requests. Is there a reason for this spike? any solution you recommend? Is it because some image or other resources are still accessed from you.acoda.com instead of getting transferred to my server with the demo data?

    Also i have just installed the demo and haven’t made any changes to it yet. I haven’t touched the code at all so what i am wondering is – why is there a difference in Query string score when everything was automatically installed by the You demo installation panel?

    I believing solving these 2 would definitely bring the score a lot closer to your website score.

    Hi @nilayshah

    I totally missed explaining that to you on my last reply.

    Caching was applied to our site, WP Super Cache plus Autoptimize that helped reduce the requests/ being loaded by our site.

    Thank you. Will try WP super cache after the whole site is complete to see if it makes a difference. BTW why is it adding version number of the file in the query string/URL automatically on import of demo content? Any solution to prevent it from happening or bulk removal ?

    On a separate note i am having issues with Flexishapes vanishing when the page is opened in front-end editor mode visual composer. But as soon as you exit editing mode, you start seeing flexishape partitions on the page. This basically means if i cannot see them in edit mode, i cannot modify them. Please help.

    Also there are other issues that i am facing but they are a hit or miss, so unable to log a support request without a way to reproduce them.

    P.S. Based on the issues i am facing and the issues that other people have posted here and on themeforest, it seems most of the issues are created because of demo content not importing properly/installing properly even after repeat tries. These issues are a hit or miss so they are bit hard to reproduce to send you sometimes. I guess a fix / better way to import demos will solve most of the issues people are reporting and save your support response time.

    Hi @nilayshah

    JS/CSS files are static files and they get easily cached. The queries will make sure that you get to see the most updated versions of the files are queried URLs bypass caching. Adding caching plugin will help lower the number of queried strings too.

    As for the other concerns, can you please send over your site’s URL and login credentials so we can test/check on this further?

    Hi @nilayshah

    For the flexishape issue, I actually tested this on our end and it loads. See the screenshots:
    http://tinypic.com/r/fnqv10/9
    http://tinypic.com/r/fctuft/9

    For the scrolling issue on the menu, you can use this CSS to disable the left and right scroll:

    .dock-panel-wrap .infodock-innerwrap{
    overflow-x: hidden;
    }

    For your question regarding themes, I am not quite sure what you mean. So can you please elaborate further?

    For your last question, you should be able to uninstall WooCommerce and BBPress plugins.

    Hi,

    Thanks for sending the screenshots as that explains the issue better. It is either a bug or a default behavior of the flexishape since I am also seeing the issue on our test site. However, you do not actually need to worry about it since the Customizer does not affect flexishapes at all as this is controlled by Visual Composer.

    For the skins, this actually works. If you check your pages, I created a test page that has the ‘Test’ skin applied to it and if you will check. the page will look different as the other pages. I think you maybe confusing the custom skin with the other demo sites. While it is possible to use a page from another demo page to the demo you are using, this will take a lot of customization since the ‘Skin’ controls the look of the theme.

    Hi,

    You can see Flexishapes using the Visual Composer Front-end editor not via Customize. As an example, you should be able to see the flexishapes on the homepage via this link: http://demo.appsnstuff.com/wp-admin/post.php?vc_action=vc_inline&post_id=795&post_type=page

    For the fonts, it was not the page that I created that caused it. It was the ‘Test’ skin that was applied to the site. I have switched the skin back to ‘Demo0’.

    Thanks!
