    WordPress v 4.3.1
    Dynamix v 5.0.1
    Visual Composer v 4.7.2
    Revolution Slider v 5.0.8
My site has a VC Post Grid on the front page. Overnight Mon 28 – Tues 29 Sept it stopped displaying. At the same time, the tab elements on a number of pages also stopped working. Also the Twitter feed at the top of the page as set under Theme Options stopped displaying (twitter symbol appeared for 1 second before disappearing).
I have noticed that neither VC post grid (standard or masonry) will work at all but I am able to display posts via a Posts Slider tool. The ‘pageable container’ doesn’t work either – nor most of the other controls.
    This is driving me nuts!!
    Any ideas please?

    Hi,

Please update to DynamiX 5.0.2, it includes a more up to date version of Visual Composer which is compatible with WordPress 4.3.1. Once you’ve updated the Theme, please see here for how to update Revolution and Visual Composer – http://acoda.com/troubleshooting-guide/

Now updated Dynamix so my versions are:
    WordPress v 4.3.1
    Dynamix v 5.0.2
    Visual Composer v 4.7.2
    Revolution Slider v 5.0.8
As far as I know the above are the latest versions of VC & RS – or am I wrong? Do I have to reinstall after updating Dynamix?
Nothing has changed – any further ideas?
    Many thanks.

    HELP!!!!!!!!!!

The website is http://knaresborough.co.uk and an example page affected is the ‘Local information’ page…

Just noticed a bizarre inconsistency in the problem. The History Page (http://knaresborough.co.uk/history) works fine. Notice on the page how the Twitter feed appears between the header and body.

The ‘Local Information’ page and ‘Visiting?’ page, by contrast, don’t display even though they use the same controls – and the Twitter feed doesn’t show either…

    Anyone??

    Hi,

You have an error 500 error, this could be a memory issue. It’s worth posting your WP login details and I’ll take a look as to why that is happening.

If you temporarily remove the “Flexslider” from the home page, does it then display the footer? It’s worth checking your memory, by following this guide: https://codex.wordpress.org/Editing_wp-config.php#Increasing_memory_allocated_to_PHP

Not sure if this is related, Andy – but I noticed in your reply to another query you say, “Yes, you can use the new style of tabs. You should see it under the “Add Element” list.” I don’t see any new style tabs, accordion or similar – just the deprecated ones… ANy thoughts?
Incidentally, the VC front end editor doesn’t work, nor the Customise option on the Dynamix template.

    Hi Gareth,

I honestly think it is a memory issue. As soon as you disable the Visual Composer, the front page loads fully.

Did you try increasing the memory following this guide: https://codex.wordpress.org/Editing_wp-config.php#Increasing_memory_allocated_to_PHP

If you’re not sure, you can post your FTP details and I’ll take a look for you.

    Hi Gareth,

I couldn’t connect to the server. Does it require a specific port number? I can accept the certificate, but it then returns that it could not connect to the server.

The site is up and running as normal again but I still have concerns. My host says:
“We aren’t exactly sure what the issue was. Someone has done something between the September back up and last week when it broke. We have restored using the backup that you sent to us.

I’d say that if you’re prompted to update anything at all, don’t as it does tend to break it.”

All of which doesn’t fill me with confidence…
If you are able to FTP in and see if there’s an issue, I’d be grateful…and I may be able to advise my site host.
