    Hi there,

I am working on a site using this great theme! However, I have some issues with Cyrilic. I am building this site for a Bulgarian company and I need the Slogan, the fields of the Contact form within the Drop Down Panel, etc.. to be written in Cyrilic. But when I do this, the titles disappear and the fields are displayed wrong.

    the site is: http://demo.websource.bg/protherm2005/

Please advise what settings are needed in order to have this fixed.

    Kind regards,

    Rosi

    Hi Rosi,

Whenever declaring variables you'll need to enter the HTML code for those characters. This should help http://www.ascii.cl/htmlcodes.htm

    Hi,

Thank you for this link. It will definitely be useful in some cases, but it will not help my issue.

I think somewhere the unicode UTF 8 should be set up in order to properly display cyrilic text in titles, links, buttons, etc. Within the general settings it is chosen UTF-8, but I do not understand why it cannot properly show cyrilic text in the slogan, links, buttons, the drop down panel. It shows the body of the text properly, but not the other text.  This is the first time I encounter this problem so I hope you could direct me.

    Thank you in advance,

    Rosi

Whenever declaring variables you'll need to insert the HTML code – some browsers may render it fine but whenever writing HTML you need to insert the code.

    Does this page help http://webdesign.about.com/od/localization/l/blhtmlcodes-ru.htm

Can you give me an example of it not working in links, that seems a bit strange – I can understand within the slogan, titles etc.

Hi  Andy, I have also one UTF-8 problem to solve.

When you stop (mouse over) 3D gallery there is na option to display the title and desctiption (little "i" icon).

Unfortunately the script ignores the UTF8 chracters. All other UTF chracters in the instalation is just fine.

    Sorry,

    Alex

    Hey biscotto,

Are you using the default cufon font? What version of DynamiX are you using?

Andy, in the end I risolved this problem disabling the default cufon font 🙂

    (based on biscotto)

    A) Default Cuffon fonst should have as many glyphs as possible

    B) It is not solving my problem with 3D gallery, as I'm using custom font with CEE glyphs, but the 3D gallery ignores it 🙁

    Sorry

    Hi vSkiper,

I've changed this in the next update to include UTF-8 support in the 3d Gallery. 🙂 Hopefully the update will be available to download in the next couple of days.

    Hi Andy,

I have the following problems with the Cyrilic texts:

    1) The titles of the elements within Drop Panel are missing if they are written in Cyrilic.

    2) The titles of the fields within the Drop Panel are with unreadable symbols, if they are written in Cyrilic

    3) The word search in Cyrilic, written within the Search field is with unreadable symbols.

    4) The description of the images for homepage slideshow are with unreadable symbols, if writtenin Cyrilic.

i have tried to disable the Default Cuffon, but this only solved point 1.

Link to the site is: http://demo.websource.bg/protherm2005/

Please advise on solutions for all points above.

    Kind regards,

    Rosi

Hi Rosi, is that using the correct HTML code? http://webdesign.about.com/od/localization/l/blhtmlcodes-ru.htm

    Hi Andy,

I do not know where this code should be. Could you tell the file and the line?

Should I make sure that the code is the same as the one within the link you posted above?

    Kind regards,

    Rosi

    Hi Rosi,

If you edit the constants.php and change the phrases to the phrases you want. e.g. for search (and I hope this is correct)..

define( ‘GEN_TERM_F’, “ПОИСК”); // Search Form Input Text Input Text

This is tedious I know but I am looking into alternatives.
