I submitted the following question to my calendar plugin and their response was It looks like your theme is hijacking the “events” URL.. Is the theme actually causing this? Basically I want the links at the bottom of single event listings to be past event / new event, similar to how http://denovati.com/2013/07/social-media-quiz has old post / new post at the bottom.

How do we switch the direction of the links on the bottom of an event listing? For example, on http://denovati.com/events/newyork-interact-2013 the event linked on the right side goes to the most recent past event, while the link on the left goes to the most recent future event. However, on the main calendar page http://denovati.com/denovati-events, if you click the right arrow in the calendar header, you get the next month. Is there a way to sync the directionality so that right is always future and left is always past?

    Hi,

I’m not sure why they said the theme is hi-jacking the events URL.

The code for single posts is using the default method of retrieving next / previous posts – I’m not sure I can influence this. See the codex here for this function, it states that it starts off with the newest.

Dang it. I wonder how you would be hi-jacking it as well, but I had to ask. Thanks for the codex link, I had found that before but it went over my head. I’ll look elsewhere, thanks.
