    Want to serve images from picasa url, because they do not convert all images to jpg, and the image quality is way better as a result.

    I have successfully go the image gallery working with ficker images, but not so much with the picassa. I have edited the timthump.php file to include

    “googleusercontent.com” no luck however

    when viewing the single POST the picasa image DOES display perfectly. So the link is really working and permissions are set perfectly.

    it is just when I add the post to the main gallery.

    Do you think it has to do with having two posts with flicker, and one with picassa?

    I also tried to add the image in the post body, to see if this made a difference .. no luck.

    Hi,

    It has to be something to do with the domain name. I thought the domain for picasa was picasaweb.google.com

    Might be worth doing a google search as timthumb is widely used.

    I found the issue, it’s because it is a secure domain https.

    Open the file DynamiX/lib/scripts/timthumb.php and search for if (preg_match (‘/http:///’, $src)== true) { and replace that line with if (preg_match (‘/http:///’, $src) || preg_match (‘/https:///’, $src) == true) {.

    That solved it for me (with adding the ‘googleusercontent.com’, domain).

    okay.. should mention we are on a windows server (dont ask)

    so the php file is a bit different

    the original line has some // differences

    UNEDITED LINE = if (preg_match (‘/http:///’, $src) == true) {

    MY LINE = if (preg_match (‘/http:///’, $src) || preg_match (‘/https:///’, $src) == true) {

    I might have done it wrong.. but I broke the whole thing, now all off server images dont work, not just the picasa ones.

    Did I format the line correctly?

    correction
    MY LINE was not as above… rather it was

    MY LINE =

    if (preg_match (‘/http:///’, $src) || preg_match (‘/https:///’, $src) == true) {

    THE FORMAT is not displaying correctlly on this forum.. the backslashes are being changed into forward slashes…. no way for me to show my text … 🙁

    Hi,

    Try the new version of timthumb, looks like they’ve solved the issue.

    http://timthumb.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/timthumb.php

    Let me know how you get on.

    hi andy,ive looked at and installed the updated timthumb,so far so good.

    one thing id like to mention is,the definitions at the top of the file have changed a little;

    cache size increased from 550 to 1000
    cache clear from 5 to 20 (number of files cleared)
    path to temp directory removed
    max height and width increased from 1000 to 1500
    Added memory limit set at: 30m (i increased mine to 90m)

    Added max file size set at: 1500000 (1.5mb) to prevent DOS attacks (increased mine to 4500000)

    Added curl timeout set at 10,the lower the better.

    Is this gonna be in the next update?
