    Hi,
    Since june, my website does not show pictures from Flickr albums.
    The reason is the Flickr API has changed to HTTPS.
    I have update phpflickr files manually in Dynamix folder (from https://github.com/dan-coulter/phpflickr/releases)
    It is ok now.
    Please, could you update the theme !
    Thanks

    I think your “phpFlickr” pack should be update from phpFlickr.com (or GitHub).
    Please, discuss with the author : dan-coulter to understand the gap with your release.
    It could be easier to update for you.

    I tried with other plugin embedding phpflickr. Screen is filled with pictures.
    I have update manually with the latest phpflickr package coming from phpflickr.com
    The problem is the integration into your code or config (could be deleted during an update ??)

    Hi,

    The Flickr file has been updated within the latest version of DynamiX. I recommend re-setting your browser cache after updating to make use of this.

    If you are still having issues, please set your reply to private and provide your URL/login details so I can take a further look for you.

    Kind regards,
    Tom

    Hi Tom,

    Bug already exists.

    I tried different plugin, cache OFF, etc… the bug is in Dynamix theme.

    Please could you take in consideration my request.

    The problem is probably link with the code below :

    require_once(NV_FILES.”/adm/inc/phpFlickr/phpFlickr.php”);
    $f = new phpFlickr( ‘7caca0370ede756c26832c28b266ead5’ ); // API
    //$f->enableCache(“fs”, “cache”);
    $user = of_get_option(‘flickr_userid’);
    $NV_flickrset = implode( $NV_flickrset, ‘,’ );
    $photos = $f->photosets_getPhotos( $NV_flickrset );

    The API ID does not be written directly in code, the other Plugin have put in place a param field.
    The API ID is used in other file in Dynamix.
    When I put my API + “NV_flickrset”=”72157635834891806″ value ( directly in the PHP) it is ok.

    Custom_widget.php has the same pb :
    Code :
    /* ————————————
    :: FLICKR SET
    ———————————— */ ?>

    <p>
    <label for=”<?php echo $this->get_field_id( ‘flickrset’ ); ?>”><?php _e(‘Select Flickr Set:’,’themeva’)?></label><br />
    <select name=”<?php echo $this->get_field_name( ‘flickrset’ ); ?>” id=”<?php echo $this->get_field_id( ‘flickrset’ ); ?>”>
    <?php

    if( is_admin() )
    {
    require_once(NV_FILES.”/adm/inc/phpFlickr/phpFlickr.php”);
    //$f = new phpFlickr( of_get_option(‘flickr_apikey’) ); // API
    $f = new phpFlickr( ‘7caca0370ede756c26832c28b266ead5’ ); // API

    As result, var are probably empty and crashs the page content.

    Hi,

    Are you trying to add a certain type of gallery into the widget section that pulls in Flickr?

    If so, this can be done with the theme. Just add in the Northvantage Widget Gallery and select Flickr from the Datasource. Make sure you have entered your Flickr ID into Appearance > Theme Options > General > Flickr User ID.

    If you are still having issues, please set your reply to private and provide your URL/login details so I can take a further look for you.

    Kind regards,
    Tom

    Hi Brian,

    Your test page does not seem to be working, please can you provide your login details and I will take a further look into this?

    It is working fine on my test server when testing multiple users too.

    Thanks,
    Tom

    Hi Brian,

    My apologies for the delay!

    After some manual testing, it appears the API no longer accepts multiple sets, it can only handle one set and ignores anything else. I’ve been disappointed with this API from day one, it’s too slow and seems awkward to use.

    Unfortunately I can’t recommend anything else as it appears it’s simply a limitation of the Flickr API and doesn’t look set to change anytime soon.
