  • Hi I tried to update the theme and my site got messed up. Below is the message I see. Site is http://www.piixdot.com. What am I doing wrong, why do I keep getting these errors when I was simply trying to just update the theme?

Fatal error: Class ‘WPBakeryShortCode_VC_Row’ not found in /home3/tthazin/public_html/wp-content/themes/ePix-2/lib/inc/shortcodes/styled-boxes.php on line 177

A little update, I can no longer click on anything on the dashboard. I receive above Fatal error…thus the website is no longer there but just that error.

Ok this has been resolved. My site is back up. However, The plugin in Visual Composer is not active. When I do activate it, it gives me error messages that I have started in my other thread. I am also aware there is a new version of VC, which is 4.2.2. The one installed is 4.2.1 but I am scared to activate it. Please either respond with instructions on what to do in this section or my other thread. Thanks.

    Hi,

You’ll definitely need to update the theme to the latest version ( 1.1.2 ) and VC 4.2.1, then apply this fix here: http://help.themeva.com/groups/epix-support-group/forum/topic/vc-4-2-1-warning-illegal-string-offset-type-fix/

They’ve just released 4.2.2, you’ll still need to apply the fix above to that too by the looks of it.
