    Dear all

How can I add the google analytics code into the 2.9.2 theme? In the newest Dynamix theme it’s easy, it’s in Appearance > Theme options > header but can’t find the equivalent in 2.9.2… What can you suggest?

    Regards,
    MF

I’ve currently put it in DynamiX > Header Settings > Custom HTML/Shortcode. Would that work ok?

    Hi MF,

I honestly can’t remember if I had the area for analytics in 2.9.2 – if there is a javascript area, you’ll need to place it in there. However, you could try switching to text view in the Custom HTML and pasting the code in there.

Ok. It seems like it’s working because analytics is starting to pick up hits. Do you think I should update the theme to the newest version? Is it possible to update without affecting content or load-time?

    Hi,

I would definitely recommend upgrading, however there quite a few changes and I’d keep a backup of the current version so that you can switch back if it requires a bit of work.
