    Working on the early foundational stages of a new site.  Kind of a strange issue:  In this image gallery ( http://www.hollowbamboo.net/WordpressTest/wordpress/?page_id=292 ), if you click on thumbnails 1-9, and advance Next to #10, which is a video, the little thumbnail strip stays over the vimeo video, obscuring the ability to maximize.  Yet, clicking on #10 directly does not have that issue.  Maybe switching from the lightbox image view to #10 being a jwplayer is causing the issue?

    I notice that the DynamiX themeforest template "6 Column Grid Gallery" example does the exact same thing, so I know it's not on my end.

    Any hints on how to eliminate the internal thumbnail strip entirely are welcomed.

    Thanks, in advance.

    (edit:  I've since moved the videos to a separate gallery)

    Hi Derek,

    Unfortunately there isn't little I can do about that, it's a prettyPhoto feature. You can however disable the thumbnail strip by editing your DynamiX/footer.php. Find the following code at the bottom.

    jQuery("a[rel^='prettyPhoto']").prettyPhoto({

    keyboard_shortcuts: false,

    social_tools:false,

    theme: 'light_rounded'

    });

    change to

    jQuery("a[rel^='prettyPhoto']").prettyPhoto({

    keyboard_shortcuts: false,

    social_tools:false,

    theme: 'light_rounded',

    overlay_gallery: false

    });

    Thanks, Andy!

    I ended up moving the video to a separate gallery, so that indirectly cured the problem.  With 100 images in the slide, it was getting really, really slow to edit; clicking "add new slide" was averaging about 12 seconds for the new blank slide line to appear, and about 5 sec to select a filter category.  It made more sense to separate.

    Thanks, again, for the code… I might end up needing that!

    Hello,

    I tried getting rid of the thumnails strip and it disabled my pop up light box all together rather than just taking out the thumbnail strip while in lightbox mode. You sure this is the right code for the right spot Andy?

    Hi,

    Yes that's definitely the right code, make sure you have the commas in the right place as well otherwise it will cause the script to fail.

    Hey Andy, I double checked the code and even copy pasted it.

    No dice!

    I still have the thumbnail strip appear over my lightbox images.

    Cheers,

    Ryan

    The bottom code was the original which I just commented out so I could revert to it should the copy/paste not work.

    <?php $a_browser_data = browser_detection('full'); // Detect Browser

    if($a_browser_data[1]=="6.0" && $a_browser_data[0]=="ie") { // If IE6 – do nothing ?>

    <?php } else { ?>

    jQuery("a[rel^='prettyPhoto']").prettyPhoto({

    keyboard_shortcuts: false,

    social_tools:false,

    theme: 'light_rounded',

    overlay_gallery: false

    });

    /*$("a[rel^='prettyPhoto']").prettyPhoto({

    keyboard_shortcuts: false,

    social_tools:false,

    theme: 'light_rounded'

    overlay_gallery:false;

    });*/

    <?php } ?>

    Hey Ryan,

    this line overlay_gallery: false

    Is commented out when looking at the code – is there any reason for that?

    Andy,

    Still having an issue with this.

    When I use this code the rollover (white fade ) on the thumbnails stops and images do not open up in pretty photo but rather just in a new blank browser page.

    All I want to do is get rid of the thumbnail stip that overlays on the images when within pretty photo.

    This is the code copied exactly as it is and looks the same as what you have above.

    { ?>

    $("a[rel^='prettyPhoto']").prettyPhoto({

    keyboard_shortcuts: false,

    social_tools:false,

    theme: 'light_rounded'

    overlay_gallery:false

    });

    Hi Ryan,

    Can you provide a link to the page this is happening on?

    After the line theme: 'light_rounded' in the footer.php there needs to be a comma after it. e.g.

    theme: 'light_rounded',

    Oh yup, that fixed her! Cheers.

    Any reason now why my COVERAGE slide set is showing up in pretty photo after my MEDIA slide set images?

    The two have totally different slide set names but seem to all group together when viewing in pretty photo.

    If you give the second gallery a different ID does that make a difference?

    Nope doesn't help.

    Slide set MEDIA had id MEDIA

    and slide set COVERAGE had id coverage.

    still groups them together

    hmm, the only way to do this is to change the lightbox ID. You'd have to mod the DynamiX/lib/inc/grid-gallery-frame.php – I'll email you .
