I love my site. However, I would like to move the header to the top of the page rather than have it on the left.
I understand how to do this by doing the following; Appearance > Theme Options > Header > Header Layout > Top: Logo Left | Menu Right.
However, when I do this, the menu us grossly skewed, as the logo appears at the center of the page and the menu is aligned so far to the left that I am unable to see many of the menu options including all of my social media buttons. Additionally, the menu covers the top portion of the full-width gallery images that are displayed below.
I have found a site that has perfectly set up their header menu at the top of the page (although it does not have any social media icons).
You may visit that site here: http://www.bpfilmandphoto.com/
Is there any way to help me fix the site that I am working on to resemble the header of the site example?
The reason seems to be related to this text “Luxury, virgin hair extensions. Custom made just for you. – 20 N. 20th St. Suite B. Richmond, VA 23223 – 804-814-9262” being set as the site tagline. If you remove this, I believe it will display correctly then.
You could move this text to the Header Panel Widget via Appearance > Widgets instead.
I’m still having a problem with the header menu on my page.
I removed the text. But the menu is still not fitting properly.
You can take a look here” http://corinehairandbeauty.com/product-category/milk-collection/
Seems like the menu wants to be “wide” while everything else wants to be contained in a box.
It would be great if everything were wide.
