Having problems with relative URLs for images not working , e.g./wp-content/uploads/2012/01/samplephoto.jpg

However, working fine if I put the full URL in including the http:…

This would be OK if I wasn't going to transfer my co.uk domain name across AFTER I've built the site

Any settings I've missed that might solve this? Default folder for images is /wp-content/upload in Settings

Also, as a matter of interest, why do images I drag into these folders via ftp not show up in the Media Library, only those uploaded via the WP interface? Any way of 'asking' WP to look in the folder and catalogue all there, or not worth the hassle and I might as well just upload again via the interface?

I'm not a techie so be gentle…. Many thanks

    Hey Kirsty,

Are you using a local server? That's the only reason why I can think that wouldn't work – do you have a link to your site?

Unfortunately that's down to WordPress and not the theme, it maybe worth asking around the WordPress forums how you prompt WP to see those images.

Images upload via ftp will not show up because that are not “catalogued”. ¬†There is a plugin called “Add from Server” that will let you link files that are on the server:¬†http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/add-from-server/
