    I have just updated to the latest version of epix and all of the images on my site are displaying the alt text instead of the image title. Is there any way to fix this? I am using keywords as the alt text and really don’t want this to be visible.

    Hi,

    Do you have a link please, is it on a Gallery and what version did you update from?

    Hi, heres a link to one of the pages.

    http://hannahcaldwellphotography.com/advertising-photographer-melbourne

    Its on every gallery page when you scroll through and when you view the image in light box it shows the alt text and not the title.
    I upgraded from 1.1.3,

    Thanks

    I have uploaded some new images to the page and they are showing the correct name, I have also tried to remove all the information from the existing images except the title to see if that fixes it but it still displays the alt text. I hope there is a way to fix this without my having to replace all of the images on my site.

    Hi,

    It’s because the Galleries check for an alt tag first, if there is one it uses that, if not it uses the title.

    I’ll rethink this, in the meantime, please edit the following file:

    ePix/lib/inc/grid-gallery-frame.php and change this line:

    title="'. ( !empty( $NV_alt ) ? $NV_alt : $NV_posttitle ) .'"

    to

    title="'. $NV_posttitle ) .'"

    Hi Andy,

    I followed the instructions and changed the code however after I had changed it none of the gallery pages would load.

    Hi,

    My apologies, please try the following:

    title="'. ( !empty( $NV_alt ) ? $NV_alt : $NV_posttitle ) .'"

    to

    title="'. $NV_posttitle .'"
