    Hi There

    I was wondering if it is possible to have a custom image for the main content area background.

    Thanks

    John

    Hi John,

    You can only add via CSS ( Skin Settings -> Add Custom CSS ). e.g.

    body {background-image: url( path-to-image.png );}

    Hi Andy

    Ok thanks I will try that 🙂

    Is there a specific size for the background image?

    Hi Andy

    Does it need to a png image or can it be jpeg?  Iv tried adding it to the custom css but nothing happens? Do I need to select custom CSS for this to work?

    Hi John,
    You can add it to Skin Settings -> Add Custom CSS. JPEG or PNG will work, it maybe the path you’re using?

    Hi Andy

    I tried the path you gave me and a few others and it didn’t work. You are probably right in saying im using the wrong path.

    Hi John,

    The path is fine, however try this instead.

    body {background: url( path-to-image.png ) !important;}

    Also add the following:

    #wrapper {background-color:transparent !important;}

    HI Andy

    How do I have the image fixed and so that it goes across the screen and not tiled>?

    The other thing that is happening is that on the front page the half the wrapper is missing?

    I dont mind having the content wrapper a basic colour which it is on all the other pages. It is just the front page that has the issue with the missing wrapper colour content

    Hi,

    You can add a few extra parameters.

    body {background: #333 url( path-to-image.png ) no-repeat center top !important;}

    Hi Andy

    Ok great we are getting there… 🙂 😉 🙂 But can I please ask how to change the content wrapper background now? Just the part where the content and side bar goes.
