WordPress SEO by Yoast is considered the most popular SEO plugin, and there exists a nasty bug when trying to add recent posts into a page. To save others some heartburn – I’ve tried to document the problem best I can, and offer a workaround until a fix can be implemented.

Environment: ePix 2.0, VC 4.5.1, WordPress SEO by Yoast 2.2
Error: Placing posts via the ‘Recent Posts’ object on a page (or post grid etc) results in the page getting renamed to the most recent post in the roll, the editor defaulting to classic mode, and the page formatting going to 1X Sidebar.
Workaround: Do not supply the plugin a keyword in the page editor. The page can then be renamed, formatting reverted, and the editor set back to whatever view the user wishes. This results in the non-ideal situation where the page isn’t optimized by the plugin, but it will at least display correctly.

    Hi Nils,

Thank you for the feedback. I’ve noticed this bug too, but I’ve had no resolution from Yoast as yet.
