all those themes files are located in the DynamiX Root,if child activated they remain in the main DynamiX folder unless you wish to edit them,in which case you can copy them over to the child for safe keeping.
as andy said,single.php and archive.php is where you need to edit for the meta,create a copy of single.php and rename to anything you like and edit the meta to how you want,then select it in the relevant post.

I'm not using the child theme at all, should I be?
I had already created a single-sans-meta php file but it is not selectable (does not appear) from the Post Templates.
I prefaced the header with:
* @package WordPress
* @subpackage Default_Sans_Meta
Not sure I named it in the right place but seemed logical…
