    Hi Andy,

    Running a new install of DynamiX v2.8.7 with BuddyPress 1.5.3…Have installed BP Group Hierarchy (1.2.9) which breaks the Site Activity, Groups, Forums etc..with the following error on chrome : ”Error 324 (net::ERR_EMPTY_RESPONSE): The server closed the connection without sending any data.”

    There are no other plugins active…..

    Any support on this would be greatly appreciated!

    Hi Iain,

    I've come across this before and it was memory exhaustion (http://help.themeva.com/groups/dynamix-support/forum/topic/bp-group-hierarchy/) – maybe worth seeing if increasing your wordpress memory solves the issue.

    Hi Andy,

    PHP memory on the server is set at 128M, I've checked wp-settings.php & .htaccess and are all 128M – which has been confirmed by the host company (NuBlue).

    I've also validated the same error on a clean install on BlueHost…..Is there anything else that can be causing BP Group Hierarchy not to run with DynamiX/BuddyPress?

    Hi Iain,

    I've done a bit of research and turns out it maybe something to do with Chrome. Is it doing it in other browsers? http://www.google.com/support/forum/p/Chrome/thread?tid=7d50c093bd4f8f6c&hl=en

    Hi Andy,

    Yes seeing same with FireFox9.0.1 (The connection to the server was reset while the page was loading). and IE9 (Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage)

    Network Activiting BP Group Hierarchy breaks BuddyPress – activity, members, groups etc.. Other site pages are OK.

    When I search that error there seems to be a few occurences of it, have you tried contacting the plugin developers to see if they have come across this?

    Have done so Andy….although we did try running BP Group Hierarchy on other themes (e.g. Mingle) and it works fine….the conflict from our point of view is between DynamiX and Group Hierarchy. Can you tell me if you can get the two to work?

    Can you provide a link – I'll see what I can determine, if I can resolve it i'll hold off on 2.8.8 and implement the fix.

    Hi Andy,

    I've setup 2 test installs to see if I can get this to work..these are:

    http://www.bigonbangkok.com (hosted on BlueHost with Plugin enabled) & also http://www.offshoreonshore.us (hosted on NuBlue with plugin enabled)….

    Our Key issue is to get it working on http://www.OffshoreOnshore.co.uk/beta as this is our live beta site (the BP Group Hierarchy Plugin is cuurently disabled as it breaks the site)….If you require admin access to any of the sites just drop me your email address?….many thanks!

    Hi Iain,

    So those first sites work fine with DynamiX and BP GH?

    Hi Andy,

    No we are seeing same or similar issues with the test sites…on the first site. BP GH is working but breaks all other BP pages, on the second test site (.US) all BP pages are inoperative with this error on chrome Error 324 (net::ERR_EMPTY_RESPONSE): The server closed the connection without sending any data.

    Just starting some testing with this now – hopefully it will give me more than that error as it doesn't mean much.

    After some SERIOUS trial and error – this following line of code is causing the problem. It seems the BP GH plugin doesn't like this – can you send it onto them so they know as it's quite key.

    Remove the following from DynamiX/functions-buddypress.php

    /* Added so BuddyPress can take care of page titles on BuddyPress pages */

    if (!bp_is_blog_page() ) {

    add_action( 'wp_title', 'bp_get_page_title');

    }

    Thanks Andy, works a treat!…I also sent details onto the BuddyPress development team.

    Appreciate the top notch support!
