    Hello Tom,

The search.php in Dynamix has a bug that causes the pagination to break. Can you help me fix this?

    Test page: http://ztijl.jxshosting.nl/?s=philips
Expected link for page 2: http://ztijl.jxshosting.nl/page/2?s=philips
Actual link for page 2: http://ztijl.jxshosting.nl/?s=philips/page/2

    Kind regards,

    Nanno

    Hi Nanno,

How do you have your Permalinks set up? What are the current settings within Settings > Permalinks?

I do not have full access to your site to view this currently.

    Thanks,
    Tom

    Hi Nanno,

Is the site currently live? I have tested this on my dev site and it works fine there so I believe this is a plugin confliction that is causing this.

If you site is not live, please can I test by de-activating each one of your plugins one-by-one to find out which is conflicting? I will put everything back together of course but I just need to test it out.

    Thanks,
    Tom

    Hello Tom,

We made a full backup so you can go ahead. Please inform me before making any changes so we can do a restore afterwards. Do you have time for this today? We are on a tight scedule and since we are still working on the site and can’t do anything now in case we need to use the back up.

    Kind regards,

    Nanno

    Hi Nanno,

The only thing I can think this is is the WPML plugin is changing the permalinks somehow. I cannot turn the plugin off as your site errors out so I cannot actually test this. But I have tested a few of my sites without the WPML plugin and the pagination for searches works absolutely fine. If you can de-activate the plugin and test it, please let me know. But that is what I currently think it is.

    Thanks,
    Tom

    Hello Tom,

We found the problem. The problem had to do with the former version of the theme, which is the base for the child theme we use. We copied one line of code from Dynamix/search.php to Dynamix-Child/search.php and now it works.

    Thanks again for your help.

    Kind regards,

    Nanno
