    I’ve not altered the php file in any way, but this is the kind of display returned for any search:

    Can you help with what might be going wrong or what I’ve inadvertently done to mess it up? Thanks.

    Hi Jac,

    It looks like you have Visual Composer de-activated or uninstalled.

    I recommend making sure it is active by going to Plugins > Search for Visual Composer and activate it.

    If it is not there, go to Appearance > Install Plugins > Install Visual Composer.

    If you are still having issues, please set your reply to private and provide your URL/login details so I can take a further look for you.

    Hi Jac,

    As Advanced Excerpt was not installed, the code was being thrown out as it uses the excerpt plugin to function correctly. I have installed it and it works correctly.

    Oh no! I deactivated the Advanced Excerpt plugin because it was the cause of bbPress truncating the forum index list, see here:

    Can that be fixed with Advanced Excerpt still activated?
