Im just setting up my wordpress site and want my blog page to look more like the example on the demo site. It seems the width on my page is a lot wider and the header text is appearing next to the image rather than below it. I would like to ensure a tighter width for the blog page more along the lines of the example page. You can view a screenshot here:
and the site itself:
Thank you in advance for your help
Sorry tried to re-edit my post but it did not work. Does visual composer work for posts? im trying to make a blog post with 2 columns for images and/or image gallery but there is no button saying “visual composer” as there is on pages.
*edit – i have a workaround that im using at the moment setting up a page with gallery first then copying and pasting the code into a post. would be good to have Vcomposer working in post mode too though…
One issue i have come across though is bullet points are appearing above and below the image gallery appearing and disappearing with each image transition. You can see on my test page here: http://thehostess.com.au/gallery-test/ (tested on chrome, firefox, safari).
Thank you for any assistance.
Hi sorry one other questions is there a way to have the feature image not appear at the top of a blog post? I use the feature image to display in the gallery (http://thehostess.com.au/grid-gallery/) but then from the gallery it clicks thru to an individual blog post (recipe example – http://thehostess.com.au/creme-caramel/) but i would like the blog post to have a slide show (example – http://thehostess.com.au/test-creme-caramel/) rather than just the single feature image.
To enable VC for posts, go to Settings > Visual Composer > Tick Posts.
I am not sure what gallery you are using but I recommend using the themeva ones instead of what looks to be the standard VC gallery. Try using the stage gallery for something similar to that. But without the bullet points!
To make the image not appear at the top of the blog post, edit the post > scroll down to the Additional Tab > Image in Post/Archive – Excerpt.
Once you have enabled VC in posts, you will be able to add a gallery to each post.
Hope his helps.
