Is there a way to make the title/text overlay on a slide gallery permanent?

Right now, I have it set so that a mouseover causes the title/text overlay to appear.

Can I have them appear without the mouseover?

Depending on what gallery you are using it will be .excerpt or .title

Both of these css styles are set to display:none; within the style.css file.

The actual change occurs in dynamix.js where it replaces display:none with display:block on the relevant style selector.

I have not tested this and I'm certainly not as knowledgeable about the theme as Andy. You could change the style.css to display:block and then comment out the lines of the associated slider and function in dynamix.js. If you search the file for excerpt or title you will see what command is given – it will be in this form

kwicks.find('.excerpt').slideUp();  You don't need to delete it – just comment it out using // at the beginning of the line that you don't want to run.

Andy probably has a much simpler solution for you.
