    Hi,

Google is indexing my slide set pages, which is fine, but I notice that when I go to the slide set URL (e.g. http://www.julieadolan.com/slide-sets/mandalay-day-one/) I don’t see anyphotos on that page – should I? If not, what is the point of having an automatic page for each slide set?

    Thanks!

    Hi,

As slide sets are a custom post type, the get their own page/post but it is only the information used within it hence why there are no images shown. I recommend using the plugin SEO Yoast as you can select for certain post types to not be indexed in Google. This setting is within the Sitemap option.

    Kind regards,
    Tom

    Thanks for that.
Is there a way to have the slide set pages actually show the images by default?

    Hi,

No there is not as they their custom post type is not coded to display images, just to hold the data.

A gallery on a page is used to pull in this data and display it.

More information on galleries here and here.

    Hope this helps.
    Tom
