    Hello,

I’m having a issue on my website that some of the images are grainy on mobile.

I have no clue why this is happening and some are ok (actually, just one)

In this page http://criarh.com.br/ponte-da-inovacao/ you can see that i use many images, many of them I created them myself.

All the images that I created on Adobe Illustrator are grainy on my mobile smartphone (asus zenfone 2), and also in many others mobiles (tested in a motorola and iphone 5c).

You can see this example http://criarh.com.br/wp-content/uploads/2016/12/hospedagem.png that the image is alright and has a good resolution, but on mobile it looks very bad.

On the other hand, this image http://criarh.com.br/wp-content/uploads/2016/12/mapa.jpg I took from the internet, and it looks great on mobile!

I don’t know why this is happening or how to solve, I had the same issue before and came here to look for a solution, but none could be find, but this is really bothering me now and I want my website to be full mobile ready.

    Can you guys help me?

    Hi @lucaseatp

Can you please specify how many DPIs the images are and how you saved them? Can you try to save the image on Photoshop and check if that makes any difference?

    Thanks!

72 pdi, save image for web, png-24

    Hi @lucaseatp

Is the issue with the compression only happening on PNG or also on JPG images? This is likely a hosting/Wordpress issue and not the theme, but we’d love to check on this further if you can provider more details.

I tried PNG and JPG, both with the same issue.

Also tried 300 dpi images, didn’t work as well.

    Hi @lucaseatp

Can you please give us permission to disable all your plugins so we can try uploading an image with and without all your plugins?

    Yes, you can do it

    Hi @lucaseatp

One thing I missed asking is a picture/screenshot of how the images on http://criarh.com.br/ponte-da-inovacao/ look from your end on mobile?

I tested this on multiple mobile browser, using Chrome Dev Tools, and also using my iPhone and I do not see any particular issue with it being grainy and they actually look pretty sharp for me.

the images look like this https://ibb.co/g8yjAa

    Hi @lucaseatp

I have rechecked and I still do not see the issue from my end. Anyway, I applied a CSS to force the image to load the original dimension.

Can you please clear your browser cache and check if that fixed the issue?

    Thanks!

    Hey,

I cleared my cache and it didn’t work…

    Hi @lucaseatp

Can you please check if the images on this page look fuzzy from your end?

The images in your website are looking good for me!

    Hi @lucaseatp

I think the main issue is either with your images or with your hosting provider. It is not easy to check on this further since we are not seeing the issue from our end.
