    We needed to have our website in different languages and we bought your theme Dynamix because you claim it is compatible with WPML.

    Now we need to show a different Logo for the portuguese version of the website and we canĀ“t.

    WPML support says:
    The theme DynamiX is currently not in our WPML Theme Compatibility list: https://wpml.org/documentation/theme-compatibility/

    And Dynamix is not on the list. Why do you claim you are compatible then?

    Hi,

    It is indeed compatible. However, the reason it’s not on their list is because I haven’t gone through their procedure for getting on the list. There is a huge wait and I know the theme is compatible with the plugin because it’s the standard way of making it translatable.

    If you tell me what the issue is you’re having, I’ll be happy to help. When you say logo, which logo do you mean?

    Thanks for your prompt reply.

    THe logo on our website http://www.produpin.com (Produpin Tu fabrica de Ideas) would need to change between languages. WPML compatible themes allow to do so changing it within the string section of the plugin, however yours does not show up and we cannot have it changed easily.

    This is what the WPML support says:

    Go to WPML > String Translation, do you see the string of logo image URL?

    And we cannot find the string there to change.

    Can you post your WP login details please, from what I can gather it’s looking for fields and the branding_url should be in there.

    Hi Andy,

    In the end WPML gave us support and ‘fixed’ your theme.

    This is the comment they left for you:

    I created the file wpml-config.xml with the following content under wp-content/themes/DynamiX

    <wpml-config>
    <admin-texts>
    <key name=”themeva”>
    <key name=”branding_url” />
    <key name=”branding_2x” />
    </admin-texts>

    </wpml-config>
    Then now you can translate these URLs under WPML > String Tranlsation, see my attachment.

    We suggest asking your theme author apply to our Go Global program at: http://wpml.org/documentation/theme-compatibility/go-global-program/ .

    The file wpml-config.xml above is created with this guide: https://wpml.org/documentation/support/language-configuration-files/

    It would be great if your apply this change in the last update so we dont have to modify the code again.

    Hi Javier,

    Thanks for posting the feedback. It looks like they introduced the string translation since the last time I had tested the plugin.

    I have tried joining their Go Globab program before and it took so long for them to come back to me, it was forgotten about.

    I’ll re-apply either way and see if we can get it done this time.
