Woocommerce redirects from /cart/ to the homepage when a cart item is removed, AND as a separate issue, woocommerce error messages are not displaying on the cart page, when an invalid coupon is used.
With the Dynamix theme active and the Yoast SEO plugin active, the above problems are confirmed and repeatable. If I disable the Yoast SEO plugin, the error message problem above goes away. If I disable the Dynamix theme, both problems above go away, even when Yoast SEO plugin is active.
screenshot shows /cart/ page with no error message (message should be showing) http://www.evernote.com/shard/s585/sh/58102188-091c-46ce-8caf-a1d5704cc9b8/d0e59d5ee0ecd179d5e1601f562a509a
When I switch to the 2013 theme (default?) the error messages appear correctly. http://www.evernote.com/shard/s585/sh/3dd3549f-e89f-4e6a-ac55-251e199a9948/99401f94123792de8a612fcd65cdcbc6
As mentioned above, when Dynamix is Active AND Yoast SEO plugin is deactivated, the error message appears again – THOUGH there are still issues with the /cart/ page redirecting to the home page when an item is removed. http://www.evernote.com/shard/s585/sh/17223a14-8b11-4a3d-9655-64e48a1a6a7f/0ecfc4ee9cad23eebcf0facc3cbb539e
Final lscreenshot shows the home page redirect after removing a cart item. http://www.evernote.com/shard/s585/sh/aff490f1-354f-44ab-bb45-d1754f796b1b/19a47ca78be84a2b2344984a199ac0e7
I have spent countless hours attempting to debug these problems and because both errors are fixed when the theme is deactivated, my only recourse is to seek help here. Thank you in advance !April 29, 2016 at 4:57 pm #88354
Before we proceed with checking this, can you please confirm if you have updated the theme to the latest version?
Is Yoast enabled as of the moment? I personally tried to use the coupon to your cart and I do see the error. Here is the screenshot: http://i67.tinypic.com/18jdx2.png

Hi thank you for getting back with me. YOAST was indeed turned off, it is back on now.
I am using a child-theme off of the Dynamix core 5. 3 http://www.evernote.com/shard/s585/sh/e0beab8d-12db-46fa-8ed5-9aa0a87ebad8/d789b096f9a0729d59eb250633f50648
In anticipation of your response, i deactivated the child theme and activated just the dynamix parent theme, the error message problem still exists, though the /cart/ redirecting to the home page after removing an item worked correctly. Hope that helps! I am really looking forward to your help.April 30, 2016 at 3:54 pm #88369
Can you please specify the steps on how to reproduce the issue? I tried adding a product to the cart, then on the checkout page I inputted ‘1234’ as coupon code and I see the warning ‘Coupon “1234” does not exist!’ on the page.

I don’t understand where we are having the disconnect…but thank you taking the time to help.[
step one: add item in cart http://www.evernote.com/shard/s585/sh/7880ee6f-d095-4397-99cf-74bf3ad81732/731f54f7549d7d28aedc0126ebb23ca1
step two, enter coupon code 123456 http://www.evernote.com/shard/s585/sh/d98c1320-bfd8-475f-9086-085da92b7b1e/011f1d138708d1b88d027ae0ea5bde26
step three – press apply coupon.
with an invalid coupon code, wordpress and woocommerce should create an error message at the top of the screen. in this case, with Yoast SEO plugin installed, there is no error message http://www.evernote.com/shard/s585/sh/cc82d688-fc38-4b7d-8b96-476d6dc10914/130dffef6b1b45c0edcad2a8b32eb178May 2, 2016 at 2:56 pm #88391
I have tested your site both in Chrome and Firefox and it’s giving me an error “Coupon “123456” does not exist!” after clicking the Apply Coupon. Attached the screenshot here:
Can you specify the browser you are using? Also, can you clear your browser cache or reinstall it?

Thanks for specifying @seoatsea
Can you please give us login credentials to both sites and give us permission to disable all plugins and switch themes on the dev site so we test it from our end?May 2, 2016 at 7:10 pm #88405This reply has been marked as private.May 3, 2016 at 5:28 am #88409
From our tests, this looks to be a conflict with Yoast to the theme/WooCommerce.
I have forwaded this to the developer to look into further and we will update you once we have any progress on this.

thank you so much…! it has been so frustrating being stuck and not having a way forward.May 5, 2016 at 7:19 am #88453
Just following up with you. Do you know how long it usually takes for the developer to look into problems like this? Is there anything we can do on our end to assist in testing or troubleshooting? Thanks again,May 5, 2016 at 10:51 am #88456
Andy is now looking into the issue. He is juggling time finishing a new theme and fixing a few bugs I have been reporting to him.
We will update you once we have more information on this.
