    Thank you for your patience with this.

    We are basically starting from scratch loading the theme 5.3 version theme again after upgrading to PHP7. We have a few questions…

    1. You mentioned coming out with a new version soon. Do you know when that will be?

    2. With our current version 2.9.2 version site, the search stopped working after moving to PHP7. Do you have a fix for this (Line 43) just to get this to work until we get the new site up?

    3. Is your version 5.3 theme compatible with PHP7, or will the upgraded theme be?

    4. Do you have any documentation when upgrading to a newer version theme?

    5. Are there any licensing issues using the same theme download for redundant test and development sites?

    Thank you very much for your time.

    Hi @xzyla

    1. It is already on a final testing. Hopefully, it will be released in the coming days.

    2. Can you please send over your site’s URL and login credentials so we could test this from our end? The logins you sent in your previous replies is not working.

    3. There are some reported issues. So, it would be best to use PHP 5.6 for the meantime while waiting for the new updates for Dynamix theme.

    4. You can follow the steps from this link http://themeva.com/docs/dynamix/theme-installation-updating/ in updating/upgrading to a newer version of the theme.

    5. The license you purchase can only be used for one installation. If you want to use it for another site even though it’s for staging or test site, you have to use a new license.

    Thank you for your response. I will need to check if security can give you credentials like before. When they switched servers it put me back a square one.

    Looks like we will need to update to 5.6 first and then go to the new version when released since coming from the old 2.9.2 version.

    We are planning on installing everything again so I am sure I will be in touch again.

    Thank you for your time.

    Alright, @xzyla!

    Let us know if you have any concerns.

    Hello – we created a test site and most things transferred smoothly with the 5.3 update. I have a few questions but the site is not live for you to view and I cannot supply admin credentials for security reasons.

    1 – The search does not work. Maybe because we are on PHP7?
    2- Please see screenshot at https://library.automationdirect.com/interactive-enclosure/library-changes-new.jpg
    I would like to remove the border lines on the home page slider without removing the page content border. I would also like to add a divider line between the body content and the sidebar like at https://library.automationdirect.com/press-releases

    Thank you for your time.

    Hi @xzyla

    It is possible that it is indeed PHP 7 that may have caused the issue. You can try downgrading to 5.6.

    For the borders you want to add/remove, I can easily give you the CSS but I need to see the site live to test and provide the correct CSS.

    I have no control over the PHP version as this is directed from our security department. Will this be fixed in your new version? Do you know of another search (plugin) solution?

    We plan to go live with the 5.3 theme version in a couple of days. I can send you a link to the site at that time.

    Thank you for your time.

    Hi @xzyla

    I do not have the final details of the latest update yet, but since PHP 7 is the newest version, compatibility for theme with the version is definitely a priority.

    Okay, we are live so can send you a link but no login credentials. Can you send the CSS for adding/removing borders as in your post on Sept. 29?

    Site link is https://library.automationdirect.com/

    My previous message with image about borders…

    Hi @xzyla

    This CSS should remove the borders on the slider

    #primary-wrapper .gallery-wrap.horizontal .slidernav-left, #primary-wrapper .gallery-wrap.horizontal .slidernav-right {
        background: none;
    }

    Thank you. What about having a line in between the sidebar like before? Also, is there a way to make a menu item a button or have a button at the top.

    Please see mockup at https://www.dropbox.com/s/iesaz5160h61ocn/library-changes.jpg?dl=0

    Thank you.

    Michael

    For the sidebar border, use this CSS:

    .sidebar.columns.side_one.four.layout_four.border.right.last {
        border-left: 1px solid #999999;
    }

    For the button-looking menu item, this is possible. The first step is to add a CSS class for the menu item, the we can use this class name as the identifier to add the CSS for the button.

    If you can send over your login credentials, I can give you a sample on how it will be done.

    Hey again. Thank you for all of your assistance.
    Because of security reasons, my company will not let me provide login credentials.

    Is there another way to explain how to make one of the menu items look like a button?
    The source code for the button is … or would we need to create it with CSS?

    Thank you for your time.

    Hi @xzyla

    It will be tough to give you specific instructions if I can’t show an exact sample on your site. But if you want to try it, here are the steps:

    1. Go to Menus and Edit the menu that you like
    2. Look for the menu item you want to customize and expand it
    3. You should see a form with label “CSS Classes (optional)” on it.

    If you do not see it, click on ‘Screen Options’ on the top-right corner of the page and make sure you check ‘CSS Classes’

    4. You will then use the CSS Class you added as the identifier to the custom CSS you will add.

    Thank you for explaining. I added a CSS button to the custom CSS and then put the class in the “CSS classes” in the menu item but still did not work. It moved and got larger but not sure what I need to do.
