I have an older version of Dynamix installed on a domain I purchased in the last year. I wanted to upgrade so it’s responsive and better suitable for mobile. As such, I just bought a new license. When I go to install in WordPress however, I get the error that the install failed as there’s already a folder of that name.

The obvious solution is to un-install the old theme and re-install the new one, but our site is busy and I don’t want to break it in the mean time. Any suggestions? I JUST bought the latest version moments ago. The version currently installed is 2.6 . I have a lot of changes and customizations I really don’t want to lose.

    Hi Jason,

Wow, that’s more than a year old. There have been some pretty major changes since then and it will require some migration work.

What customizations did you make? I personally would rename the current DynamiX folder to DynamiX_26 via FTP > upload the new version and switch to it so you can see what it looks like and switch back if need be.
