    Hi, trying to implement the AddThis! plugin to my site (social media sharing) http://www.addthis.com/analytics?stats=14days&domain=All+websites&pub=53733843

    It gives you a code, which it says to add to your site. It says whereever you place it  is where the plugin will show. I tried putting it in single.php, and it broke the posts with a syntax error. Any idea where I can put this thing? Thanks!

    Do you have a link to the page where you have added it and what is the code you’re adding?

    I was going to add it to single.php so it appears on allposts, but here is a link to one of my posts for reference: http://metalarcade.net/2012/11/superhero-movies-too-much-of-a-good-thing/

    Here’s the code:

    <!– AddThis Button BEGIN –>
    <div class=”addthis_toolbox addthis_default_style “>
    <a class=”addthis_button_facebook_like” fb:like:layout=”button_count”></a>
    <a class=”addthis_button_tweet”></a>
    <a class=”addthis_button_pinterest_pinit”></a>
    <a class=”addthis_counter addthis_pill_style”></a>
    </div>
    <script type=”text/javascript”>var addthis_config = {“data_track_addressbar”:true};</script>
    <script type=”text/javascript” src=”http://s7.addthis.com/js/300/addthis_widget.js#pubid=ra-50983dfc1631593b”></script>
    <!– AddThis Button END –>

    I can’t see any issue with that – do you have it on that page currently? I can’t see any errors. It worked for me, what line did you place it on. It maybe some characters are being pasted in. This is what worked for me and I placed it after this line: </div><!– /post-titles –>

    <!– AddThis Button BEGIN –>
    <div class="addthis_toolbox addthis_default_style ">
    <a class="addthis_button_facebook_like" fb:like:layout="button_count"></a>
    <a class="addthis_button_tweet"></a>
    <a class="addthis_button_pinterest_pinit"></a>
    <a class="addthis_counter addthis_pill_style"></a>
    </div>
    <script type="text/javascript">var addthis_config = {"data_track_addressbar":true};</script>
    <script type="text/javascript" src="http://s7.addthis.com/js/300/addthis_widget.js#pubid=ra-50983dfc1631593b"></script>
    <!– AddThis Button END –>

    Hi Andy, I instantly removed it because it was breaking all my posts pages. I will try using your code where you said and see if it works. Thanks!

    OK, that worked, thanks! This is what it looks like on my site: http://metalarcade.net/2012/11/fruit-rocks-review-android/#.UJrajoc8CSo

    Weird thing is, now I’m getting that weird code added to the end of all my URLS. Above, what is this -#.UJrajoc8CSo

    Also, is there any way to get it to display on the bottom?

    Have you tried placing it below the comments_template in single.php?

    Not yet, I’ll try that in a bit. Any idea why that plugin is adding the weird series of letters and numbers to the url?

    I’m guessing they’re coming from the plugin itself, I don’t think anything in the Theme would affect that.
