    Hi Andy,

I’ve been running DynamiX for almost a year now, and love it. Can you tell me exactly what I lose in customization if I were to update the theme? I don’t want to have to redo much of my work – but I’m unsure what actually carries over into the updated theme.
    Thanks,

    Steve
ps I posted this on the wrong topic page a couple of days ago (Beta testing).

    Hi Steve,

Sorry I missed the BETA topic, I’ll get that closed off now as DynamiX 5.2 is now out 🙂

As long as you’ve not made changes to the Theme files, all is safe when you update.

    I hope that helps?

    Thanks Andy.

Just to clarify what you mean by making changes to a them file –
I only do stuff through the WordPress back office, so would this mean if I’d gone into Edit Themes section and edited the theme templates using stylesheet ccs and php , etc?
Otherwise, I’m assuming customizations in the Customize section would remain in tact. Is that correct?
    Thanks,

    Steve

    Hi Steve,

That’s correct, all other customizations will remain in tact.
