Hey guys, I have a weird issue, and i’m not sure if the issue is with the theme or not. I am running buddypress with the WP User Frontend plugin. I have created a page that allows people to upload a picture and post it. Everything works fine in the http://liarlog.com/new-post. (press the upload image button and the file loader drops down to choose a file), however when I created the same page in the buddypress profile http://liarlog.com/members/erik/new-post/, when I press the upload image button nothing happens and gives me a # symbol at the end of the url (http://liarlog.com/members/erik/new-post/#) I have searched the internet for a fix to this and found something about my footer php file not pointing the right direction for the button. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

    Hi Erik,

How did you create that page for users? I don’t think you can create pages for Buddypress users. Does it work with the standard theme?

    Kind regards,
    Tom

    Hey Tom,

I used a plugin called Buddypress Custom Profile Menu, in which I created the page New Post and then added it to the custom buddypress profile menu…..

Let me know if you have any questions

    Hi Erik,

We will need to know weather it works with the standard theme (twentythirteen) as we are not sure if it works full stop.

    Kind regards,
    Tom

Hey Tom, I just switched to twentythirteen default theme, and it does the same thing. Works in the new-post page, but does not work in the profile new-post page… Please help.

    Thanks,
    Erik

    Hi Erik,

If the standard theme does the same thing then either the plugin is broken or it is not meant to have that functionality. I recommend asking the plugin developer to look into things for you.

    Kind regards,
    Tom
