    Hey There –

I’m working on this portfolio and it looks like the ‘description’ that comes up with certain portfolio posts is visual composer code. I want to avoid this. Is there a simple way to do this?

Here is the page. Once you start scrolling over, you’ll see what I’m talking about.

If you look at the 3rd entry on the 3rd column, you’ll see what I am talking about.

    Hi @streetsidestories

I checked this site http://streetside.electricembers.net/portfolio-example-two/ and I do not see any issue.

Can you send screenshots so we can check further on this? Also, please send over your login credentials.

    Hi @streetsidestories

I checked your site on different browsers and I do not see any issues. What browser are you using? Can you clear your browser cache and recheck the site?

    Hey There,

I’m using chrome. But, I also checked it in Firefox and it’s the same thing. Here’s another screenshot. It’s the hover over in blue, on the first line. VC code:

    Hi @streetsidestories

    I now see the issue.

The portfolio will scrape the excerpt from the Portfolio post which will server as the Portfolio description upon hovering the image.

For the portfolio items where these codes appear, they have the ‘Download Ebook’ button which is a shortcode, that is why it is scraped as part of the content for the item.

There are 2 options you can consider to go around this:
    1. Move the download button at the bottom of the portfolio item OR
    2. Declare a Post Excerpt so the theme does not need to scrape it from the Portfolio item. This can be done on the ‘Post Excerpt’ box under ‘Page Config’. Check this item out as an example: http://streetside.electricembers.net/wp-admin/post.php?post=5141&action=edit

    Thanks!
