Just so you know, I’m a problem solver before I start asking for help.
Visual Composer is freaking out on the theme and not working properly and there was/is no obvious reason.
The front-end works for 50% but the backend doesn’t work at all. The options, below a page, General, Layout, Single page don’t display full either. The titles do, the options don’t…

I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled Visual Composer but to no success and still the same hassle.

Disabling the other plugins had no effect either…

    Thanks in advance, Sam

    Hi @studioassistant

Can you please send over your site’s URL and login credentials so we could personally test and check on this further from our end?

Also, what version of PHP are you currently using?

If you could send screenshots of the issue, we would appreciate it.

    Hi @studioassistant

We have received two reports so far for the same issue.

Can you please try to downgrade WordPress to 4.8 from 4.8.1 just to check if it’s 4.8.1 causing the issue?

    Hi,

I downgraded from 4.8.1 to 4.8 but the problem is still there.
Nothing changed in the problem I described above.

    Greetings, Sam

Update: When deactivating You Theme and selecting another theme Visual Composer does work.
So it’s definitely a You Theme thing which isn’t compatible or interfering with 4.8.1, however going back to 4.8 doesn’t help either.

Update: I’m also unable to update permalinks. Perhaps this info helps as well…

    Hi @studioassistant

I checked your Dashboard and it seems the Visual Composer is working perfectly. The options General, Layout, Single Page, Social Skin, Blog Template are all present.

If you could send screenshots of the issue, we would appreciate it.

    Regards,
