    Max Mega Menu developer showed the following as the cause of the menu loading twice:

    Is there a setting in the theme options to easily disable this or would code need to be removed? I believe the code is found in the config.header.php file. I am guessing that if you were to show me which code to remove, it would need to be done each time the theme was updated.

    Looking forward to your reply and code solution…

    Hi Thomas,

    You could try a bit of jQuery to remove the ID from that area. Try this in Appearance > Theme options > Customize > Javascript:

    <script>
    jQuery(document).ready(function() {
    jQuery('#nv-tabs').attr('id','');
    });
    </script>

    I have added the code however, it still double loads the menus. Not sure if this helps http://www.maxmegamenu.com/documentation/faqs/removing-residual-styling/
    If so, can you show me the snippet that needs to be removed or remarked out? I prefer the method that you offered first since that would eliminate the need to make the change manually every time the theme is updated.

    Hi Thomas,

    It doesn’t appear to be firing that code, the ID is still there. Can you post your WP login details and I’ll see if I can tweak it. Failing that, you would have to edit file to remove the ID manually.

    Edit DynamiX/config.header.php and change this line:

    echo '<nav id="nv-tabs" class="static '. $NV_menu_alignment .'">';

    to

    echo '<nav>';

    Hi Thomas,

    It doesn’t look like I have the access to access the Theme Editor options. Please copy the DynamiX/config.header.php to the child theme and you can either make the change yourself or give me access to change it myself.

    That is strange… It is super admin on multi-site and the editor is in the network dashboard.
    oh well. I made the change and it works.
    TY – best theme support I have experienced on the web 😉
