Question, I’m trying to create a YouTube Background like you have http://acoda.com/dynamix/media-elements/#parallax. I was trying to locate the documentation on how but couldn’t so it’s possible I’m not doing it right. When I try to do it I’m getting the following error message,
Fatal error: Call to undefined function vc_extract_youtube_id() in /home/content/p3pnexwpnas03_data01/77/2284977/html/wp-content/themes/DynamiX/vc_templates/vc_row.php on line 80
Any ideas what’s going on?
I’m testing any video – but specifically chose the same video you used in the page listed above. But it doesn’t matter which video I choose, it’s the same result. 🙁
If you get it to work, is there any way to keep the ads from popping up?

Sorry, your question must have been pushed down. It was your version of Visual Composer. With each update of the theme, you need to manually update Visual Composer too. You can see the guide here: http://acoda.com/troubleshooting-guide/
You should be able to use the video background now.
Another question on this, is there anyway to make sure the sound for the background video is heard?
I don’t want your stinking audio anyway *LOL* (said in a 5 year old kind of voice when he really wants the audio but knows he can’t have it so says he doesn’t) – hahaha
I’m working on a new video & this one would have been cool to have as a background but only if the audio played. Otherwise it’s not nearly as engaging (it has sound effects, etc. in it). Oh well, it was just an idea…my default is to just have the video play like normal…
Thanks again for your help!
You’re welcome James! if it were straightforward, I’d happily give you the code for it – unfortunately it’s embedded deep within the Visual Composer plugin.
The only alternative is to place the video within a Revolution Slider, that’ll be full screen and you can add content on top of it if required ( within the slide content ).
Oh & Andy, here’s the video I would love to have as a full screen video as a background with sound – oh well…
