    Hello,

    I have shown that is possible to choose a skin for the website where I can set font for title, subtitle etx.
    Really I prefer to usa CSS in child theme.

    My problem is that when I add font source like this:

    /* latin */
    @font-face {
    font-family: ‘Quicksand’;
    font-style: normal;
    font-weight: 300;
    src: local(‘Quicksand Light’), local(‘Quicksand-Light’), url(http://fonts.gstatic.com/s/quicksand/v5/qhfoJiLu10kFjChCCTvGlDy24DTBG-RpCwXaYkM4aks.woff2) format(‘woff2’);
    unicode-range: U+0000-00FF, U+0131, U+0152-0153, U+02C6, U+02DA, U+02DC, U+2000-206F, U+2074, U+20AC, U+2212, U+2215, U+E0FF, U+EFFD, U+F000;
    }
    /* latin */
    @font-face {
    font-family: ‘Quicksand’;
    font-style: normal;
    font-weight: 400;
    src: local(‘Quicksand Regular’), local(‘Quicksand-Regular’), url(http://fonts.gstatic.com/s/quicksand/v5/sKd0EMYPAh5PYCRKSryvWxJtnKITppOI_IvcXXDNrsc.woff2) format(‘woff2′);
    unicode-range: U+0000-00FF, U+0131, U+0152-0153, U+02C6, U+02DA, U+02DC, U+2000-206F, U+2074, U+20AC, U+2212, U+2215, U+E0FF, U+EFFD, U+F000;
    }

    and I assign the font-family:’Quicksand’ I see that is recognized for desktop but is not recognized for mobile devices like ipad and iphone.

    I can say that the google link codes for fonts used in other themes is recognized for all devices.

    What’s the reson why your theme does not permit this?

    For example:

    http://laboratorio35.com/shop/dsquared-womens-ankle-zip-boots-with-mink-details-h-12cm-ref-ol1183172-q5700/

    title h1 has “Quicksand” font recognized for mobile device so my question is:

    1 – what’s the reason why is not recognized?

    2 – I have seen that “quicksand” is loaded also inside your theme so how can I assign the font loaded in your theme without to use skin settings?
    I tried to write:

    h1{
    font-family: ‘Quicksand’!important;
    }

    but if is not set inside skin settings is not recognized.

    In few word, please give me instructions how to use the theme fonts inside child theme without to use skin customization settings.

    Thanks
    s.

    Hi Simone,

    The font is not actually being loaded into the site, hence why it is not working on mobile. Your best bet is to use the plugin, Any font as this will allow you to set a font and set it to different headings.

    You can use the plugin Use Any Font > Assign a font > Select your font > You can even add a custom element also.

    This is a much better way rather than trying to load in the CSS for each.

    Hope this helps.

    Hi TOM as I can see fonts are available in SKIN editor so how cannot be inside the theme.

    However what’s the reason why when I insert the code below from google fonts inside childtheme are not recognized.
    All other themes recognize that code.

    /* latin */
    @font-face {
    font-family: ‘Quicksand’;
    font-style: normal;
    font-weight: 300;
    src: local(‘Quicksand Light’), local(‘Quicksand-Light’), url(http://fonts.gstatic.com/s/quicksand/v5/qhfoJiLu10kFjChCCTvGlDy24DTBG-RpCwXaYkM4aks.woff2) format(‘woff2’);
    unicode-range: U+0000-00FF, U+0131, U+0152-0153, U+02C6, U+02DA, U+02DC, U+2000-206F, U+2074, U+20AC, U+2212, U+2215, U+E0FF, U+EFFD, U+F000;
    }
    /* latin */
    @font-face {
    font-family: ‘Quicksand’;
    font-style: normal;
    font-weight: 400;
    src: local(‘Quicksand Regular’), local(‘Quicksand-Regular’), url(http://fonts.gstatic.com/s/quicksand/v5/sKd0EMYPAh5PYCRKSryvWxJtnKITppOI_IvcXXDNrsc.woff2) format(‘woff2’);
    unicode-range: U+0000-00FF, U+0131, U+0152-0153, U+02C6, U+02DA, U+02DC, U+2000-206F, U+2074, U+20AC, U+2212, U+2215, U+E0FF, U+EFFD, U+F000;
    }

    Is there a kind of block that is blocking google font codes insert manually inside the childtheme?

    Thanks
    S.

    Hi Simone,

    I do not think that the code is correct. When you switch to the standard Twenty Fourteen theme and add the code into the CSS file, the same thing happens. I do not believe this to be a theme issue.

    Kind regards,
    Tom
