Before I startup uploading tons of photos, can you give me some idea of the “optimal” image size / jpg compression? I know this is dependent on a lot of factors but I’m just looking for a general guideline that will maintain good image quality at the best possible load performance. Right now I have the long side set at 2048 with about 65% jpeg compression. This gives me a file size of around 1MByte. Not too bad but the load time on some screens is still a bit on the long side for today’s impatient world.

    Hi Alan,

It really depends where the images are going to go. If you are going to use them for the fullscreen gallery then 2000px+ is a good size to use. If the images are not going to be this large on your site, then I recommend making them smaller. The image resizer should resize the images down to the size of the gallery size set anyway.

    Hope this helps.

    Kind regards,
