A new update has been released for ePix which contains the latest version of Visual Composer too.
For more information on updating the theme, please see here.
Once updated, you can update VC by go to Plugins > Deactivate VC > Delete it > Admin notice at the top of the WP Admin, click install Visual Composer > You should now have the latest version.
Then reset your browser cache and websites cache (if you have a cache plugin installed).
This should solve the issue.
Hope this helps.

That seems to have got the text off my pages and dashboard, still getting the following on all my posts though:
Notice: Undefined variable: permalink in /customers/e/4/b/charliewallisphotography.co.uk/httpd.www/wp-content/themes/ePix/lib/inc/sub-functions.php on line 538 Notice: Undefined variable: permalink in /customers/e/4/b/charliewallisphotography.co.uk/httpd.www/wp-content/themes/ePix/lib/inc/sub-functions.php on line 538 Notice: Undefined variable: permalink in /customers/e/4/b/charliewallisphotography.co.uk/httpd.www/wp-content/themes/ePix/lib/inc/sub-functions.php on line 538 Notice: Undefined variable: permalink in /customers/e/4/b/charliewallisphotography.co.uk/httpd.www/wp-content/themes/ePix/lib/inc/sub-functions.php on line 538
Any advice?May 6, 2014 at 9:12 pm #48284
Right, removing the social icons seems to have solved the problem. Any idea what might be causing the social icon to go haywire? Really need them on the site!!May 7, 2014 at 8:25 am #48322
I’ve modified a file for you which should resolve the issue. Locate ePix/lib/inc/sub-functions.php and replace with
If this doesn’t, please provide your FTP details and I’ll create a fix for you ASAP.May 7, 2014 at 10:15 pm #48430
Almost fixed it seems, the only issue I now have is at the bottom of my blog posts it says the following:
Notice: WP_Query was called with an argument that is deprecated since version 3.1! “caller_get_posts” is deprecated. Use “ignore_sticky_posts” instead. in /customers/e/4/b/charliewallisphotography.co.uk/httpd.www/wp-includes/functions.php on line 3193
Any ideas? Thank you so much for all your help so far, the service has been second to none I must say.May 9, 2014 at 12:20 pm #48599
That error is actually coming from WordPress itself ( yep they’re still using functions which are deprecated it seems ). It seems you have WP_DEBUG enabled, this is great for testing but for errors like this, you’ll need to switch it off.
I’m happy to hear that, if you haven’t yet rated the theme, please do – it’s greatly appreciated!May 9, 2014 at 6:37 pm #48621
All sorted, thanks so much, will go on and rate. I have one last question if you don’t mind and feel free to tell me to create a separate thread. I created my blog page using VC and posts grid. Is there anyway to get the posts grid to break into separate pages, like the first 10 posts on page 1, next 10 on page 2 e.t.c? Sorry for the hassle, I really am impressed with the theme and service.May 12, 2014 at 6:58 am #48687
No worries, thank you for being so patient with us.
I am not sure if the VC posts grid has pagination but if you use a grid gallery set within the Page Config of the page, it should have a post limit option within it, set it to 10 and it should paginate.
On the other hand, you could just use a Grid Blog template and this would paginate automatically. Create a blog page > In the right hand column, under Page Template, choose Grid Blog. This will then pull in the posts.
Hope this helps.
