it seems tha ePix hide VC standard elements. I’ve reinstalled purchased and latest VC but e.g. icon “image gallery” is missing.

Checked it on a fresh installation: ePix conceals several VC buttons which reveal after I switch the theme to one WP standard.February 2, 2015 at 2:26 pm #61259
I’m going to resolve this for the next version ( due any time now ).
It does conceal some of the elements because the theme uses it’s own and they were there before VC was even developed, so I had to keep them so users didn’t lose their shortcodes. I’ll fix the Image Gallery for the next version either way.February 2, 2015 at 5:46 pm #61298
ok is there any workaround to use the full set of VC elements? I won’t like to start with another theme and to migrate afterwards.
Otherwise my ePix purchase is useless till I get a fix for that.February 3, 2015 at 3:22 pm #61342
I’m talking to the developer at the moment. The reason why some of it is disabled e.g. POST GRID is because they haven’t devised a method to configure the columns correctly on other frameworks. It works for Columns and Rows but not much else.
I’ve disabled their front end because it’s a whopping 340KB. This will be on top of the theme stylesheet and doesn’t include the bootstrap stylesheet which is even bigger.
You can try it either way by editing the following:
ePix/functions.php and remove the following lines:
wp_dequeue_style( 'bootstrap' );
wp_deregister_style( 'js_composer_front' );
Secondly edit ePix/lib/inc/shortcodes.php and remove the following lines:
vc_remove_element( "vc_button" );
vc_remove_element( "vc_cta_button" );
vc_remove_element( "vc_cta_button2" );
vc_remove_element( "vc_images_carousel" );
vc_remove_element( "vc_carousel" );
vc_remove_element( "vc_message" );
vc_remove_element( "vc_toggle" );
vc_remove_element( "vc_twitter" );
vc_remove_element( "vc_video" );
vc_remove_element( "vc_gallery" );
vc_remove_element( "vc_single_image" );
vc_remove_element( "vc_teaser_grid" );
vc_remove_element( "vc_posts_slider" );
vc_remove_element( "vc_flickr" );
I can’t guarantee it will all function right, but it’s worth a try and if you’re happy, I’ll build in an option for it.February 7, 2015 at 1:23 pm #61579
after edit and a first check it seems that all works fine. 🙂 Many thank’s!
An option would be fine. 🙂February 9, 2015 at 2:49 pm #61647
Okay, I’ll add the option in for the next version.
