I have this error which appeared after attempting to install the demo content. I found the error in the troubleshooting guide but was unable to understand the answer. Website is http://www.surreyweddingphotographer.com.

Warning: DOMDocument::loadXML(): Empty string supplied as input in /srv/users/serverpilot/apps/grahamnixon/public/wp-content/themes/ePix/lib/inc/classes/slideset-class.php on line 154

Fatal error: Call to a member function getElementsByTagName() on null in /srv/users/serverpilot/apps/grahamnixon/public/wp-content/themes/ePix/lib/inc/classes/slideset-class.php on line 157

    Any help much appreciated 🙂

I seem to have fixed this but still can’t get the demo content to install?

    Hi Graham,

The error is usually due to a slide set not selected. I’m glad you’ve resolved that now.

As for the demo content, you should be able to go to Appearance > Theme Options > Getting Started and click the “Import Demo” button, is that what you’ve done?

    Hi Graham,

You’re using an older version of the theme, I recommend upgrading first. I see you’re using the Envato toolkit, however it doesn’t show the update for the theme. Can you ensure you have the correct details in place for the account in which you purchased the theme from. It should then give you the option to update the theme.

If you’re having issues installing the theme, please checkout the guide here – http://themeva.com/docs/epix/theme-installation-updating/

I would delete all the current pages, posts, slide sets etc and then install the new version and click “import demo” from there, it will include the latest demo as per http://epix.themeva.com which is better than the one you’re using.

    Kind regards,
    Andy

    Hi Graham,

That’s customization they’ve made. I can try to replicate that for you, however I’d need you to sign-up to this forum.

There will be some features that won’t work with this format, i.e. drop menus, auto-hide menu and collapse menu. If you’re happy with that, I can help.

    Hi Graham,

You just need to create a new topic on the forum – http://help.themeva.com/groups/customizations-premium/forum/ and I’ll start creating the CSS for you.
